Another month?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Seriously, it’s already September. Wow.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to update you guys on a couple things. For one, What Pumpkin released another album. And trust me, you will be in for a surprise. :D

(That last link is my contribution, by the way.)

In other news, I’ll probably have two tracks finished this weekend, hopefully three if I can manage it. We’ll see. My senior year of college juuust started, but it’s a long weekend, and not really much homework yet.

Anyway, enjoy the new music!

Ascension (New Song!)

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

I consider it very ironic that I’d say I hit a creative block less than two days ago… and then I make this gem: Ascension . First track for the self-titled album in quite a long time. Can’t wait to finish it.

Hah. Yeah, I should get to bed now. Hope you enjoy the new track when you wake up, folks. :)

Hello August

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

Hey guys, been trying to wrap up my project for the next Homestuck release. On a side note, I updated lucidity² over on the somnium² page, and I’m finally settled in to my new residence. Took awhile.

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates. They’re coming slowly! I’m really trying to get somnium² done this year. (But the next school year is coming up… oh boy.)

Bye for now.

Somnium and somnium² Update

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Yes, an update to both albums, and the third for this month!

I’m going to be start posting, the remastered Somnium tracks… starting with Closer’s replacement. Closer (Dream Mix) will not be at the Somnium (Remastered) page, but you can still get it from the original page. The following song will be replacing Closer for the Remaster: Lucidity (feat. Barden), though, the one on the Somnium page won’t sound as completely polished as the final master. Hey, remember Barden? Yeah. This was another song he worked with me on, though, in this case it was mostly me, and he added in the secondary melody that’s fairly prominent.

Regardless, this song is actually very old. It dates back to mid-2003, and, because it never got finished until today, it didn’t even make it on to the Primus collection. So don’t mind the semi-dated style. :)

Along with Lucidity is, of course, lucidity².

Enjoy!

Update #2 for July

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

So soon? Yeah.

I got a lot of progress done on the trilogy (Body, Mind, and Soul) remixes (body², mind², soul²), so I uploaded the new versions. Biggest change is to mind² which is effectively no longer a trance song. As a friend of mine put it, it’s a trance song with a DnB/Breakbeat feel. Hybrid genre for the win.

Regardless, the songs are at the somnium² page, so go check them out! Oh, I also decided to post higher quality tracks for y’all. <3

Still working on getting that bit to work on mobile devices that don’t support Flash, though…

Update for July

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Hey guys! Short update. I’ve been busy (mostly Red Faction: Guerilla), but I’m still whittling my way though these tracks. I’m making a bit of a change to mind², so I’ll try to have that uploaded next week.

Until then, stay classy.

Skaianet Radio

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Hey guys, I completely forgot to mention this last week:

On top of joining the MS Paint Adventures music team, I now manage an internet radio station for an MSPA fansite, Skaianet Laboratories. The radio itself is called Skaianet Radio, and my show (if you saw the link over on the right) is on Thursday nights from 8 to 9:30 Eastern time (UTC -4 until Daylight Savings Time ends, and then it’ll be UTC -5).

And guess what, today is Thursday, so I’ll have my show tonight! There’s also an IRC channel for the radio, if you’d like to join the discussion. (If that link doesn’t work, go to irc.skaia.net channel #radio in your favorite IRC client, such as Mibbit.)

Hope to see you there!

Homestuck Vol. 5

Monday, June 14th, 2010

So, as you may have noticed already, I posted another album to the discography. Remember that remix I did for MS Paint Adventures awhile back? Scroll down, it’s down there. Yeah, well, I ended up doing yet another remix and it was liked enough that I was asked to join the MSPA music team! So, expect to hear more about MS Paint Adventures in the future.

The album was released yesterday, so if you’re curious about it, either check out the page here, head over to What Pumpkin or to the BandCamp page for the album.

There are some absolutely fantastic artists on this music team, so, really, take a listen. And while you’re at it, go check out MS Paint Adventures.

A Little More Progress

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Started a couple new somnium² projects: soul² and shadows². I’ll be posting what soul² currently sounds like a little later on tonight, so keep an eye out for it!

Also, I’m looking for a guitarist to record a bit on After the Storm’s re-master and its remix, after the storm². I had intended for a guitar solo to be featured in the track back when I released Somnium in 2007, but that never happened, unfortunately. So, since I’m bothering to make everything sound better in the album, I figured I might as well see if someone would be interested.

Yes, you’ll get credit on the album(s). :D And I don’t mind two different people soloing for the two versions of ATS. Regardless, if you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible.

As for other projects, they’re sorta at a standstill until I either get more ideas, though I have been listening to a lot of DnB music lately, so… :)

Also! If you’re viewing this site on a mobile browser (For example: iPhone OS, Android, or Blackberry), it’ll show a mobile-themed version of the site. Navigation is a bit different, but it should work out the same for the most part. :D

Small, but important, update!

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

If you’re a regular visitor, you likely have noticed that music links are now playable here at the site. Sorry it took me so long to do that. I needed to find a way that was intuitive for both me and you the listener. With the new system, I’ll be posting tracks as I work on them, so you can hear how things progress. :)

Also, there’s a new listing in the Discography now, titled Primus. What is it? Well, it’s a collection of my oldest works (along with songs that didn’t make it onto Somnium). As you may have guessed, the song Primus is certainly featured on it. There are three different versions of the song on there.

Go and grab it! It’s free for you to enjoy.
